The refurbishment of the lifeboat station and slipway build has been partly funded by a £1M public appeal for RNLI funds. MMC worked closely with Raymond Brown Construction in the building of a new slipway. MMC designed a custom jig to cut the piles to within 5mm.
Other works included underwater dredging using an air lance and water dredging system; assisting aligning the brackets and bolting the entire assembly together below the water; underwater concreting; underwater painting; debris removal and underwater burning to remove the sheet piles.
"I can confirm that your work as a diving contractor was more than satisfactory on the Cowes RNLI slipway project earlier this year. I was also particularly impressed with how easily you proved your competency to the HSE during a visit by two of their diving inspectors."
