  • Although we provide services to most marine industries our core activities and specialist skills are concentrated in six key sectors:

  • We have a 55 foot barge, accommodation for a full dive team and welfare facilities on board which include a galley, office, shower and heads with a purpose built drying room. One hull is a workshop with storage space.

    MMC are specialist providers of access engineering solutions including rescue, rope access and confined space works. The combination of these services allows MMC to offer innovative solutions to various challenging tasks, often in hazardous and difficult working conditions.

Project: Salvage of 100 tonne fishing vessel in Blackpool "MV Colline"

MMC supplied a seven man dive team to undertake the removal of the wreck "MV Colline" (a wooden fishing vessel), estimated to be approximately 80 tonne. The dive team had to raise her into a position where she could be dewatered alongside the quay, she was then pumped out, the lift bags removed and towed to a nearby slipway and demolished. The reason for sinking was unknown at the time but it was thought that water entered through damaged or rotten planks.

Adler and Allan environmental oil response teams attended the site 24/7 with a spill boom containment curtain deployed, a gully sucker and pumps. Our priority during the lift was to reduce wherever possible the environmental impact from leaking diesel.

Island based dive team MMC returned to Guernsey for the 2nd phase of the underwater welding works for CRL. After burning off old bolts, cleats and excess metal with underwater Brocco, the team welded thirty 120 kilo anodes in to place.
