MMC were fortunate enough to win the tender for ABP international ferry port in Plymouth to carry weld 246 anodes, and continuity 17 cables (supplied by Impalloy). Our dedicated dive team of coded welders executing the job flawlessly, completing the job ahead of schedule saving time and money for our client.
A second team were committed to 24-hour split-shift operations working around the tide to UHP water jet the 70 piles on the fender dolphins, these were then greasing and wrapping them with Denso Seashield 70 system (supplied by Winn & Coles) at the Mill Bay site in Plymouth.
The beautifully cleaned & wrapped piles have now extended the life of the jetty, ensuring its future longevity.
