MMC Diving Services is committed to privacy and information security. We understand the importance of privacy to our customers, website visitors, employees, subcontractors and suppliers. This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we collect, when we collect it, how we keep it safe, and what we do with it. During the course of our activities, we will process personal data (which may be held on paper, electronically, or otherwise) about you and we recognise the need to treat it in an appropriate and lawful manner. By undertaking our services, working for us or providing us with services or using our website, you agree to the terms and conditions described in this Privacy Policy.
Who we are
MMC is a provider of commercial diving, marine civil engineering, confined space and other associated marine based project works and services. MMC is a family run business, made up of three companies that provide different service elements; MMC Diving Services Ltd provides the commercial operations such as diving, marine civil engineering, confined space and high ropes access, Marine Management Consultancy Ltd hires the plant and equipment and MMC Diving Regatta Services provide the light weight hull and regatta services.
Information Collection and Use
We obtain information about you when you contact us, for example when you enquire about our services or express an interest in working with us. Data is collected in legitimate interest and we will only capture the minimum personal data required in order for us to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations. All data collected will only be used for the purpose for which it was provided. We will only hold your information for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected. All employees who have access to your personal data or are associated with handling of that data are authorised and obliged to respect the confidentiality of that data.
We will securely store all personal data (hard copies and electronic copies) in line with our documented information procedure and for the retention periods required to meet legal or contractual obligations.
Clients:
In order to undertake contractual works we will need to hold data on our clients, most of this information will have been provided by our clients, and can include company name, individual contact names, role or job title, contact details, scope of project works, drawings. To ensure we are providing the best quality services to our customer we may also ask you for feedback on our performance.
We may send you communication relating to our business which we think may be of interest to you by email or similar technology (you can inform us at any time if you no longer require these communications).
Employees:
It is a legitimate interest of the company to collect and process various types of personal data, including basic information such as name and contact details, and information on training, qualifications and experience, most of this information will have been provided by the employee.
To meet legislation or contractual obligations and for legitimate interest we may also process certain special categories of information, such as certificate numbers, medical, driving license number and may take photos, video footage and audio recordings.
Subcontractors:
As part of our supplier management procedure and as part of our legal obligations we must hold certain data on our subcontractors in order for them to undertake works for us, most of this information will have be provided by the individual subcontractors themselves, and includes basic information such as name and contact details, and information on training, qualifications and experience.
To meet legislation or contractual requirements we may also process certain special categories of information, such as certificate numbers, medical, driving license number and may take photos, video footage and audio recordings.

Suppliers:

The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of the website. Google will store this information. When you make an enquiry online through mmcdivingservices.co.uk your name, company name, address data, email address, contact details and any additional information you share with us will be received and stored at our head office. This information is collected to respond to your enquiry, process a business request, or allow you to access specific account information. Any information gathered will be treated as confidential and be handled to the extent required by law or any applicable contract.
MMC Diving Services does not publish, share, trade, sell or otherwise disseminate any of the information or data registered or provided to us to any other party. MMC Diving Services and any of the aforementioned parties may, however, be obligated and are entitled to disclose information and data registered or provided to us in compliance with applicable law, court or arbitration orders, judgments awards or other legal processes served or in compliance with requests by any entitled authority, body or person or to protect the interests, rights, property of MMC Diving Services, our users or others.

- industry bodies in order to meet our legal and regulatory obligations such as HSE and the Association of Diving Contractors (ADC)
- our professional consultants and auditors for the purpose of seeking professional advice or to meet our audit responsibilities; including
- third party auditors or supplier approval bodies for the purpose of seeking professional association and memberships including Constructionline, Achilles UVDB, RoSPA, ADC, JOSCAR

Security of your personal data
To prevent unauthorised access, maintain data integrity, and ensure the correct use of visitor information, MMC Diving Services stores information on secure computers. Our security is designed to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and/or destruction. Data integrity is maintained by making certain that collected data is relevant for the purposes for which it is used, and that it is accurate, complete and current. Only authorised employees and/or contractors have physical access to these computers. Firewalls and other security technology are implemented to prevent MMC Diving Services computers from being accessed by unauthorised persons.
MMC Diving Services has taken measures to protect Registered Users' information, please know that no computer system is immune from intrusion. In addition, information transmitted to the Site may need to pass through many systems in order to process such information. Therefore, MMC Diving Services cannot guarantee the absolute security or confidentiality of information transmitted to our website.

This policy was last reviewed on the 24th May 2018. MMC Diving Services may alter, update or otherwise change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a new version on our website.
