MMC successfully fulfilled their requirement to preserve the integrity of 111 piles. This came with its own challenges such as technical hurdles relating to the jetting and wrapping installation process around environmental conditions, tidal access, piling operations, shipping and ammunition loading adding to the complexity of the job.
A highly skilled and experienced team came together to tackle the challenges, employing a well-coordinated approach that leveraged the strengths of each team member. The use of the Seashield system ensured that the piles were adequately protected against corrosion and environmental degradation, particularly in a harsh marine setting.
The combination of Denso Seashield 2000 and Seashiled Glass Wrap offered long-term protection and performance, critical for the piles' longevity.
The project was successfully completed ahead of schedule, highlighting the efficiency and effectiveness of the team. Both the client, Knights Brown, and ABP (Associated British Ports) were extremely satisfied with the outcome, showcasing the project's quality and timely delivery.
The success of this project was largely due to the dedication and collaboration of a fantastic team.
Special thanks to Knights Brown and ABP for providing the opportunity to undertake this challenging yet rewarding project.
