ANTI-BRIBERY & CORRUPTION POLICY
Honesty and Openness
The Prevention of Corruption Acts applies to all organisation’s. The Acts make it a criminal offence to give or offer bribes or rewards to any employee or organisation with the intention of influencing them in their duties. These offences could lead to the loss of contracts, loss of future opportunities and prosecution under the Acts. It is also a criminal offence to knowingly supply false or fraudulent information.
MMC Anti-Corruption Policy
MMC is committed to carrying out business fairly, honestly and openly. It is a violation of this Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policy to offer, pay, promise or authorize to pay money, gifts or anything of value, including but not limited to bribes, entertainment, facilitation payments, kickbacks or any benefit, directly or indirectly, to any person or company whether a public official or private person or company, in order to improperly secure or retain business or to obtain, retain or secure an improper advantage in the conduct of business for MMC. Or, for any MMC employee, contractor, subcontractor or other agent of MMC to solicit or accept any such payment or other benefit in connection with the performance of any service or other activity on behalf of MMC.
Who is covered by the policy:
This anti-bribery policy applies to all employees (whether temporary, fixed-term, or permanent), consultants, contractors, subcontractors, or any other person or persons associated with us (including third parties), or any of our subsidiaries or their employees, no matter where they are located (within or outside of the UK).
In the context of this policy, third-party refers to any individual or organisation our company meets and works with. It refers to actual and potential clients, customers, suppliers, distributors, business contacts, agents, advisers, and government and public bodies – this includes their advisors, representatives and officials, politicians, and public parties.
Employee Responsibilities:
As an employee of MMC Diving Services, you must ensure that you read, understand, and comply with the information contained within this policy, and with any training or other anti-bribery and corruption information you are given.
All employees and those under our control are equally responsible for the prevention, detection, and reporting of bribery and other forms of corruption. They are required to avoid any activities that could lead to, or imply, a breach of this anti-bribery policy.
If you have reason to believe or suspect that an instance of bribery or corruption has occurred or will occur in the future that breaches this policy, you must notify the Directors.
If any employee breaches this policy, they will face disciplinary action and could face dismissal for gross misconduct. MMC Diving Services has the right to terminate a contractual relationship with an employee if they breach this anti-bribery policy.
