CODE OF CONDUCT
Introduction
MMC Diving Ltd is a multi-disciplinary company specialising in commercial diving, civil engineering, confined space and rope access services. This Code of Conduct sets out the standards expected of all employees, subcontractors, and representatives across all areas of our business. It ensures we uphold our legal, ethical, and operational responsibilities at all times and in all work environments—onshore, on land and at height.
Scope
This Code applies to all personnel working for or on behalf of MMC Diving Ltd, including employees, subcontractors, freelancers, agency staff, and representatives engaged in diving, civil, confined space or rope access work.

Compliance with Laws & Standards
All operations must comply with applicable UK laws, industry regulations and contractual requirements, including but not limited to:
- HSE Diving at Work Regulations 1997
- The Confined Space Regulations 1997
- IRATA best practice guidelines
- Health & Safety at Work ACT 1974
- Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM)
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
- Client-specific and site-specific requirements
Workplace Behaviour
All personnel are expected to maintain professional and respectful behaviour across all job sites. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or any form of inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated. We expect all personnel to;
- Act in the best interest of the company.
- Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any potential issues.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities
All personnel must:
- Comply with project-specific RAMS or Dive Plans and relevant procedures
- Attend safety briefings and toolbox talks
- Report hazards, near-misses, or unsafe acts immediately
- Use and maintain appropriate PPE
- Follow environmental protection guidelines to minimise impact
Fitness for Duty
Personnel must be physically and mentally fit for work. Alcohol or drug use during work or on-site is prohibited. Testing may be conducted in accordance with our Drugs and Alcohol Policy.
Confidentiality & Data Protection
Personnel must protect and handle the confidentiality of company, client, and project information responsibly and in accordance with GDPR and internal policies. Do not share confidential information without proper authorisation.
Use of Company Equipment & Assets
MMC Diving property—including diving equipment, vehicles, tools, IT systems, and rope access gear—must be used lawfully, safely, and only for authorised purposes.
Bribery & Corruption
MMC Diving maintains a zero-tolerance stance on bribery and corruption. Gifts or hospitality must not be accepted or offered if they risk compromising integrity.
Conflicts of Interest
All potential conflicts of interest—whether personal, financial, or contractual—must be disclosed to management without delay.
Reporting Concerns
Anyone with concerns about safety, ethics, or legal compliance is encouraged to report the issue to a supervisor, project manager, or the QHSE Manager. Reports can be made anonymously if necessary and all reports will be treated confidentially.
Breaches of the Code
Breaches may result in disciplinary action, contract termination, or legal action, depending on severity. This includes misconduct in any area of the business: diving, civil works, or rope access.
Review & Amendments
This Code is reviewed annually, or earlier if regulations or company operations change. The current version is available from January 2025.
