A Small committee vessel for the Royal Solent Yacht Club went down over the weekend. MMC diving & marine salvage experts were quick to respond, and were on site within a few hours.
A rapid response to any salvage can be the difference between a salvage job and a wreck removal. The vessel went down on her mooring, with the barometer dropping rapidly and 40 knots of wind forecasted, the harbour became extremely busy with vessels coming in for shelter, and the decision was therefore made to leave the vessel on the seabed for a few days.
The swift recovery was completed and the vessel handed over 48 hrs later. The reason for the vessel sinking was the unknown.
